Photographed on Market Street in the charming historic section of Charleston, South Carolina. This image was the recipient of a Photographic Society of America award (14 out of 15 possible points), a Cape Fear Camera Club competition Gold Ribbon, and my highest scoring image on Pixoto.com. Strangely, I usually don't take images of people, but he was a compelling character.

Don Margulis has been photographing the Carolinas and New England for over 35 years offering his work through galleries, gift shops and arts and craft fairs along the east coast. He is the former owner of "Quiet Moments Photo Gallery" in Southern Pines, North Carolina and "A Way of Seeing Photo Gallery" In Rocky Neck, Massachusetts. His images feature a variety of subjects, often capturing reflective moments that offer a calming contrast to the busy and stressful pace of everyday life.
